SEXUAL ASSAULT RESPONSE PROGRAM
The Sexual Assault Response Program is a 24/7 on-call support, advocacy and community education. The sexual assault response program provides individual and group counseling, advocacy, educational information and referrals for child and adult victims/survivors of sexual assault, which includes rape, childhood sexual abuse, adult survivors of incest and sexual harassment/stalking. These services are also provided to families/friends/loved ones and survivors.
Activities: Free individual face-to-face or phone counseling for any victim of sexual violence, support groups for women victimized by sexual violence, advocacy, information and referrals to supporting organizations and law enforcement agencies and community presentations to provide information and education regarding sexual assault issues.
Service Outputs: During the last fiscal year the sexual assault response program served 166 clients and fielded 196 crisis/referral/information calls. Currently the program has 8 volunteers who provided 1,452 hours of immediate crisis counseling to victims of violence.
