THERAPY SERVICES

Therapy services are provided to victims/survivors of abuse regarding psychological or emotional problems resulting from victimization. Psychological issues resolved through this special therapy program include stress, substance abuse, PTSD, or other family relationship situations. The therapist develops and implements therapeutic treatment plans based on research based, best practice social work modalities.

Activities: Meet in hourly segments with clients once per week and use cognitive behavioral therapy techniques. Clients are encouraged to articulate and establish two life goals they would like to work on; Satyr techniques are used because they compliment the cognitive behaviors therapy and solution-based therapy techniques that are employed by the therapist. Therapy duration is variable and therapeutic plans are developed as needed per client.

Service Outputs: During the last fiscal year 5 victims of violence were served through the therapy services.
