The Families in Transition program provides safe, affordable transitional housing and support services for low-income families. Transitional housing is available for up to 24 months and services are individually tailored for each family.
 

Activities: Provide financial advocacy, health care advocacy, housing advocacy for clients. This is an intensive program; typically the clients are referred to the program from the Harbor House domestic violence shelter. The advocate also assists with parenting issues and clients can stay in the program for up to two years. 

Service Outputs: The program is structured to help women establish a home away from their batterer.  Last fiscal year the program served 31 families.
